I'm Robin O'Connor, and I’m running for Libertyville Township Supervisor to build community, to increase efficiency and provide more service opportunities.
As a dedicated public servant, educator, and community leader, I have spent my career working to improve the lives of those around me. Whether I am teaching at Northwestern University, presenting at a state conference, or speaking on the local news, I believe building community is essential.
I will fine-tune traditional practices and streamline new services with efficiency and modernization. With a strong background in administration leadership will bring a fresh new look to Libertyville Township.
My passion for community engagement coupled with embracing change is evident within my leadership roles. I will lead our township forward with transparency, professionalism and unwavering integrity.
My husband, Dennis, and I have lived in Libertyville Township for over thirty years, during which time we have raised four active children. I have also been involved with numerous organizations and non-profits, all of which have ingrained a spirit of community and service within me. I am proud to call Libertyville Township my home, and I would be honored to serve as your supervisor.
I will bring a fresh perspective to local governance. My priorities are government transparency, fiscal responsibility, and embracing technology to improve and streamline services.
Our Township’s unique role of Open Space management is of great importance. My background as an employee of Lake County Forest Preserve and a member of Lake County Lake Lovers will enhance my leadership in this capacity.
I am not a career politician, but a dedicated public servant with a proven track record. As a Libertyville Township Trustee, Lake County Clerk, and school administrator, I have expanded services and led improvements. At the same time, I have been a driving force in our community, serving on numerous boards and volunteering with local organizations.
It's time for a leadership change in Libertyville Township. I will bring a fresh new look. My background as a change agent pairs tradition with new ideas. Together, we can build a brighter future.
